There are four types of venomous snakes in India they are as follow.
- Indian Cobra :- In Marathi it is called "NAAG"
- The common krait :- In Marathi it is called " Manyar" or " kanadar"
- Russell's viper :- In Marathi it is called "Ghonas"
- The saw-scaled viper :- In Marathi it is called "Phooras"

We always see this kind of snake in hindi movies. This snake is so venomous when it bites its venom attack directly nervous system and body get paralyze cause death. when it bites its effect on body in 20 min to 2 hr. Its average length is 1.9 m long. Its foods are rat, small snakes, birds etc. You can observe back side of this snake is a curve from which you can identify this snake.
Common krait ( Manyar, kanadar)
As you can identify the Indian Cobra easily. Common Kraits body is blueish gray in colour has white colour band on its body. Its average length is 1m. Its venom is neurotoxic and is more venomous than common cobra. It is most venomous snake of india. After bite it paralyze body quickly and cause the death within 6 to 8 hour due to suffocation.
Russell's viper (Ghonas)
The Russell's viper is responsible to most snake bit cases in the world. Its average length is 4feet or 1.2m . After its bite its symptoms begin with pain and bleeding at the site of bite followed by swelling, vomiting . Which case the fall of hart rate means low blood pressure. Its venom

King Cobra
The king cobra is one of the largest venomous snake as i mentioned above its venom is less toxic than other but it can inject more venom. Its venom is also neurotoxic and cardiotoxic. Its colour is blackish and bottom of the body faint yellow. Its average height is 4m and it can grew up to 6m. It found in dense jungle.
Indian Python (Ajagar)
Indian Python is non-venomous snake. It is large in size average length is 3m found in grass land, jungle. These snakes feed on mammals, birds and reptiles indiscriminately, but seem to prefer mammals.
Common rat snake (Dhaman)
It is non-venomous snake. Its length is around 11feet. Its colour is blackish. Usually in populated areas it is not seen out during the days. It swims readily and vigorously with its head above the water.It devours almost everything that comes within his reach but has a marked preference for frogs and toads. It swallows its prey at once and the inoffensive creatures like frogs reach its stomach alive and kills it by pressing the prey against the ground with its body. Lizards, birds and other small vertebrates are taken when available and the recorded food includes, geckos, toads, frogs, young pond turtles, nestling birds, skinks, agamid lizards, bats and snakes.
Going through all then I came to know that I saw only one venomous snake it was Indian cobra and one non-venomous snake Dhaman. Rest of the snake I saw was not of these category. Indian cobra, Common krait, Russll's viper, saw scaled viper, king cobra these are venomous snakes in Indian. And in non-venomous snake category Indian Python, Common Rat snake, coachwhip, Ringnake snake, Milk snake, corn snake, Rosy snake etc.
